Why a shop?

It's simple. We want to keep building this site and keep it free for all to use and keep it free from advertising.

Poisson Rouge has been in existence for ten years and counting and it is continually getting bigger and better. You are currently over 65,000 visitors every day and you spend an average of 20 minutes on the site (that's 900 "surfing days" per day!)...

We consider Poisson Rouge to be amongst the best in interactive entertainment, including commercially sold CD-Roms, console games and the likes, which generally are expensive, have a short life and gather dust on the shelves of our children. To make Poisson Rouge a pay site would be a perfectly apt solution. But being the utopians that we are, and at the risk of being laughed at, we want to believe there are other more generous (than a pay site) and elegant (than advertising) ways of doing things. We do our work with passion, dedication and talent and we would like to ask in turn for your contribution (many thanks to those of you who have already!).

For the fish to keep swimming you can make simple donations or buy products that are like the site : beautiful, of good quality and made in respect of the environment and of the people who live in it. In other words, objects that we like and that we'd buy ourselves!
